From television to the practice tee
The story of Toptracer begins in Sweden, when Daniel Forsgren decided in the 1990s that golf coverage on television had to be improved. He developed a camera system capable of tracking the flight of the ball and showing its trajectory, speed and distance on screen. The invention transformed broadcasting and, after being acquired by Topgolf Entertainment Group in 2016, became the most widely used technology both in professional tournaments and at golf venues across the globe.
Today, the same graphics that we see during events such as the Ryder Cup or The Open Championship are available to any player at our club.
How does Toptracer work?
The system is based on high-precision cameras that follow the ball from the moment it leaves the clubface. These cameras, connected to advanced software, generate in real time detailed information on trajectory, launch speed, total distance, carry, shot shape and accuracy to the target.
All of this information is displayed on screens at every bay on the practice range and can also be saved in the free Toptracer Range app. In this way, each session stops being repetitive and becomes a dynamic, purposeful and stimulating training experience, where every shot provides real, measurable learning.

The great strength of Toptracer is that it turns practice into an interactive, social experience.
