On Saturday, 11 July, Club de Golf Costa Brava hosted the 30th Andbank Golf Marathon, a truly special edition that will go down in the Club’s history after setting a new all-time participation record.
For the first time in the tournament’s thirty editions, the Golf Marathon welcomed 23 teams—the highest number ever—bringing together 169 players and 220 guests at the closing dinner. These figures reflect the excellent momentum currently enjoyed by the Club.
From the very first tee-off, the atmosphere was exceptional, with great sportsmanship, friendship and enthusiasm throughout a competition that, three decades after its creation, remains one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the Club’s calendar.
The Club would like to express its sincere gratitude to Andbank, the tournament’s title sponsor, for its trust and commitment. With more than 90 years of experience, Andbank is a leading private banking institution specialising in comprehensive wealth management, and its support was instrumental in delivering a first-class event with an outstanding prize presentation.
The Marathon also benefited from the support of CollViader, whose collaboration once again contributed to the success of this iconic tournament.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening came during the dinner, when the Club presented a commemorative plaque to Juana Samaranch in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to the history of the Golf Marathon. As one of the tournament’s pioneers and driving forces, her dedication played a key role in establishing it as one of the Club’s most cherished traditions.
This success would not have been possible without the commitment of the entire Club team: staff, restaurant team, partners, members, players and guests, whose dedication made this memorable day possible.
