History

One of the first
golf clubs on the Costa Brava.

1841

The year the historic Masía was built, later becoming the future clubhouse of Costa Brava Golf Club.

 

1962

The year Club de Golf Costa Brava was founded – April 10th.

1968

The first 18 holes of the course were inaugurated, designed by John Hamilton Stutt, a founding member of the British Association of Golf Course Architects. He was responsible for designing iconic courses such as Turnberry and St Mellion Old.

BOOM

This coincided with the social boom in the area, especially in the villas of S’Agaró and Platja d’Aro. It attracted numerous film stars and European and American jet-setters, including Sean Connery, who played the newly opened course alongside prominent British professionals.

2011

Nine new holes were added, expanding the course to 27 holes, all seamlessly integrated into a design that offers various combinations, harmonized with the surrounding landscape. Designed by Jorge Soler and Eugenio Aguado.

2018

On August 11th, the 50th anniversary event gathered nearly 300 people, featuring a morning competition followed by a celebration with personalities such as actor Jordi Ríos.

2024

In July, construction work will begin on the new Driving Range.

INICIAL

 De 18 hoyos combina un diseño muy técnico en la primera vuelta con otro mucho más relajado en la
segunda. Los primeros nueve hoyos, rodeados de bosques de pinos y alcornoques, se diferencian de
los otros nueve situados en el llano, con sus calles mucho más anchas, aunque por su mayor longitud
obligan al jugador a exprimir más su potencia de juego.
